Adult Supportive Partners Program
A Compeer Rochester Adult Supportive Partner is a paid staff member that works in collaboration with a Program Coordinator, referring provider, and client living with mental illness to help the client gain more insight into his or her life and help make plans for the future.
Adult Supportive Partners are:
- Matched one to one with a client or multiple clients with whom they share common interests;
- Individually trained and formally supervised by a Compeer Program Coordinator throughout the match;
- Focused on helping clients develop new interests and community supports, and pursue dreams and goals that may have been derailed due to the challenges of mental illness;
- Required to submit detailed monthly progress notes to keep all involved informed of activities completed, issues of concern, accomplishments, successes, and overall progress
